There are lots of great gaming related sites on the Web. Here is a selection of our favorites.

Events pages

GW Events page - Find here the GW events calendar (Feb 2005)

WPS Events page - Find here the WPS events calendar (Feb 2005)

Chapter Approved

GW 40K Chapter Approved pages (Feb 2005)

GW WHFB Chronicles pages (Feb 2005)

Hobby sites

Games Workshop have a number of sites.
Here are the other main sub sites from the GW site:
Black Library
Forge World
Sabertooth Games
Lord of the Rings
Specialist Games which includes:

Battle Fleet Gothic
BloodBowl
Epic40k
Inquisitor
Mordheim
Necromunda
Warmaster

Major General Tremorden Rederring's Colonial Wargaming site. A great site with some stunning terrain and battle reports.

Warseer billed as 'the ultimate Games Workshop rumour site'. They often get things wrong, but they're always interesting.

The Games Club Network, this is a central point that I would recommend for all clubs to look at. Plus if you are not a member of a club, find ones local to you.

www.hutchs-wargames.co.uk, this is another good "hub" of miniature gaming hobby related stuff.

Terrain related sites

Wargames Workshop are yet another source of excellent terrain.

Wargames World produce and sell a variety of terrain, including ruined buildings suitable for Mordheim and hex modular terrain systems from TSS.

Ainsty Casting Company produce some nice terrain, some of which we own.

Hovels also make good quality resin terrain, and again we own some and are very pleased with it.

TerraGenesis is the terrain making web page maintained by Gary James, our ex-Club Secretary. Much of the Club's terrain can be seen on this site with instructions for building it.

BloodBowl Sites

NAF - The NAF is an international association of players dedicated to Blood Bowl - Games Workshop's game of fantasy football. NAF's goal is to act as a central resource for Blood Bowl coaches the world over - offering news, contacts, discussion, sanctioned tournaments and international player rankings. (Feb 2005)

TalkBloodbowl - I (JohnnyP on 2001-06-26) am hoping to provide a site for BloodBowl players all over the globe that contains the information they need. If it doesn't, then I'll do my best to make it. Please help me by posting your ideas or comments in the appropriate forum. (Feb 2005)

Discount Minatures

Chelgames - All things GW style, but for less & more....

i-Kore - Check out these 3 games systems & Minatures: Void, Celtos & Xyston. Download the rules for free.....

Warmachine - "Steam Powered Battles", Yet another excellent Minatures producer.

NUGaming - Nick Umanski's online store, a well known e-Bay trader of all things Minatures, check out his e-Bay auctions as well. (Feb 2005)

FiguresInComfort - Although Figures in Comfort is only in it's second year we have already taken a large part of the market with retail and wargamers demand rising daily. The company was setup as no one was offering the quality and range of cases and  foam trays I was looking for. (Feb 2005)

Battle Wagon Bits - A US based website which allows you to order parts of a "Sprue". Just need that one extra pair of plastic Terminator Lightening Claws or Assault Cannon, but don't want to buy the whole sprue! This is the place to go. I have used them & they are very quick to deliver to the UK. (Aug 2006)

If you need movement trays of almost any shape look no further than terrainwarehouse.co.uk. (July 2007)

Wargaming / Gaming Clubs

Here is a complete list of all the GCN Clubs. (Nov 2006)

The Dragon Slayers, I quote from their web-site , "a bunch of no-hopers from Northern England"

The WPS arrange events and publish an on-line magazine.

The Newark Irregulars meet just down the road from us and host one of the best series of wargames shows in the UK, Partizan.

Gadgets and gizmos

How to build a "hot wire cutter", this is a link to the TerraGenesis site run & updated by Gary James. Another excellent addition to the site.

Army Builder is a superb army list creator in a Windows-driven, point-and-click environment. Rob, the owner, generously donated a registered copy to the Club but we'd have gladly bought it anyway.

Profantasy are the creators of an excellent map making program called "Campaign Cartographer". We used it to make our "Gobstykia" map.
