Blood Bowl event on 22nd August
We have had some interest from the guys in Nottingham, so let's try and get some players involved from our club shall we? Calling all our regular and irregular players - £5 for a great day out.
WFB Doubles - 25th July
Thanks to everyone who showed up, although turn out was a little low a great time was had by all.
1st place: Pete & Anna (Dark Elves / Skaven) 2nd place: Chris & Matt (Skaven / VCs) 3rd place: Andy & Phil (Double Beasts) Wooden Spoon: James (Double Daemons)
Best Painted Army: Andy & Phil.
So the WFB crown is unified, although some say that is only due to a couple of absences from Andy and Gareth, our most experienced tournament goers.
Thanks to James foe stepping in to fix the odd number of player problem, and better luck with playing WFB next time, although each game was an improvement on the last.
History of gaming at the Lincoln Collection Museum on 25th JULY
We have been invited as a club to represent ourselves and the gaming community within lincoln at the museum on this day, I would ask anyone not attending the events at the club on the 25th to join us and look at the museum and maybe even advertise our club. We are putting on a series of participation games on the day, I have arranged the Magic players to come along and demo, can we secure someone to help demo Warhammer 40k and Fantasy? Email me or PM me on the forum as so far we have no one... I will be chatting to people about what we do, and helping where needed!
Entry is FREE, so pop down and check it out...
Check out the collection website Here Cheers,

Lincoln GW grand auction
Saturday 18th July 2pm Lincoln GW will be holding an auction.

Why not pop down and pick up a bargain.
The store will be open from 9am
Starting with a Bar-B-Q
WFB
This Thursday sees Andy Thompson braving the "Valley of the Dinosaurs" in our WFB campaign. See if 2000 point of dwarves can break through an army of 2000 points worth of Lustrian monsters! Carnosaurs, Stegadons and Salamanders abound!
We'll let you know how it goes.
Update - Dinosaurs win. Many, many dwarves were eaten. Having to march through the valley turned out to be a disaster, as they could not shoot at the monsters. 3 Stegadons (backed up with Carnosaurs against the tougher units) charging into single dwarf units did enough damage to either wipe out or break each unit they went for. Oh well, at least the slayers got their wish to die in glorious battle.

Gamesday 2009
Would just like to thank everyone who made the Gamesday Board possible, and for removing it from my garage LOL... looked like alot of people were crowding around the board. I spoke to Brian Anderson while I was out and about taking the community photo's for Bek Hawkby, and he said they have the region of 9000+ tickets sold, which is better than the previous year!
Well done to everyone on the board!
Chris Allsopp Gobstyks Ambassador.
