This is Toad's Exodite Eldar Army in all it's glory. It contains a myriad of conversions & excellent ideas.

The idea of the Exodites is that they are "feral" Eldar with limited technology and abilities, however like all cultures, when isolated from the mother culture it has developed in it's own direction as directed by environmental needs. Thus the army has an avatar with a singing spear, different transports (much more like dark Eldar raiders), have no star cannons, no wraith lords, no wraith guard (the technology has been lost). There are no aspects as such, except fire dragons which actually use plasma flamers! (count as a normal flamer but Str 4, 2d6 AP vs vehicles) The Exodites have developed as tribes and are lead by treesingers (the equivalent of warlocks/farseers) but have limited psychic abilities. True Eldar tend to look down on their savage cousins. The Exodites tend to look down on the true Eldar as they have lost the basic link to nature. I have done a "codex" for my Exodites, so opponents can read about the army. On the whole here's the army pros & cons

Cons / Pros

1 . No star cannons / Star Rifles, (Str 6, AP 2, Heavy 1, roll of 6 to hit = 2d6 AP)
2 . No Banshees, No Scorpions / Wardancers (similar to the wood elf version, have several different dances which allow them to sort of combine the roll of banshees & scorpions)
3 . Limited heavy support & technology, NO wraith lords, NO wraith guard, warwalkers have only 1 weapon / new heavy weapon choice of a holofield generator (improves the cover save of all Exodites within 12" by 1, if out in the open gain a 6+ save) vehicles within 12" count as hull down. NB holofield does not move!

Background

The Dragon rider, the pinnacle of Exodite skill and expertise. To ride one of these dangerous creatures requires a link not only with the very essence of the wilds, but with the specific dragon. The rider and dragon form a symbiotic relationship, sharing hopes and dream, desires and despair. Not a true tribe, as all born to the dragon riders are passed to other tribes. The only way to become a dragon rider is to be chosen by the Treesinger of the tribe. It is a great honour to ride the powerful beasts and to wield the finely crafted power blades. The dragon riders greatest tactic is to launch a hard and fast assault on the enemy unit and then withdraw into the shadows, leaving nothing but death behind.

Stat Line Basis

Comes from the basic aspect warrior stat line. The improved Str is because of the laser lance or executioner as per codex Eldar rules. Toughness is 3(5) based on the fact that the dragon does not have any attacks and to show that the beast may take some of the damage, allowing the rider and beast to carry on. However wounding at Toughness 5 indicates significant damage to both rider and beast, enough to kill either/both, rendering the model dead.
