WHFB Tournament Results

On Saturday 11th August 2001 the Club held a Warhammer Fantasy Battle tournament.  Twenty Six players (5 from Bristol, 5 from Scunthorpe & 16 from Gobstyks) battled it out over three games with points being awarded for Sportsmanship, Army Composition/Selection, Painting, a General Knowledge Quiz as well as the usual Battle Results.

At the end of the day the winners who received the fabled "Squig Hopper Trophies" were:

Most Sporting Player, awarded to Jeremy (Scunthorpe Consortium)

Best Army, went to Gareth Hamilton (Gobstyks Gang)

Best General, for the player who scored most points in game play, went to Chris Legg (Big Chiefs)

WHFB Champion, for most points overall  went to Gareth Hamilton (Gobstyks Gang)

The full results are presented in the table below. Well done to everyone who took part and a big "thank you" to the following people:

  • Tom "WaveSerpent" Hancocks & Aaron "Azzy" Joyce for running the tournament

  • Special thanks go to Kelly "Skreech" Hill for getting the ball rolling who was silly enough to challenge the Big Chiefs at the WPS Tournament

  • Anna Delafield for arranging the food

  • The Big Chiefs for driving miles to get here to play

  • Everyone else who attended to make the day a complete success
