| Hello everyone, this is the news that has been eagerly anticipated by many on this
forum, an annoucement of dates for the Gobstyk Karnage Kup. I would like to first say
that these dates are FINAL, the club is running many events this spring/summer and the
decided dates fit into this schedule.
The Sign up sheet will remain on the club notice board until the 9th of March, this
will have given members enough time to sign up to the event. To prevent any
"moaning" or accusations of this being unfair, those members who cannot attend
before this date can e-mail myself on my ez-board account and I will sign them up
personally. They will have to supply their full name and the name of the army they will be
using in the relevant Kup.
The draw will be made and posted on this forum and the club notice board on the 16th of
march. All army lists for both Kups will also have to be submitted by this date to myself
so they can verified. Also I will be posting the scoring system that will be used to judge
painted armies on the club notice board on the 2nd of March so participants can see it for
themselves. The reason for army lists to be submitted before the draw is announced is to
prevent any accusations of "tailoring" and such like.
KARNAGE KUP DATES :
1st round : 23rd March 40K
1st round : 30th March WHFB
2nd round : 6th April 40K
2nd round : 13th April WHFB
3rd round : 20th April 40K
3rd round : 27th April WHFB
As mentioned above these dates are FINAL, if you cannot commit to them please do not
disrespect other participants by signing up, and then not turning up.
I will not be taking part in either of the Kup competitions as I will be taking notes
for battle reports, observing games and also will be an unbiased and impartial adjudicator
on any unforeseen issues that may arise.
I would also like to apologise in advance to any member who cannot take part due to
these dates, but please take heart in the fact that next year 2007 (Gobstyks 10th ) a more
expanded competition will be taking place in conjunction with any other anniversary plans,
the next competition will draw heavily on ideas that have been put forward in this forum
so a competition can be realised that truly demonstrates the "spirit of
Gobstyks".
I would like to end by wishing all participants in both Kups the very best of luck, and
look forward to seeing a fun and fair competition.
Other systems will be added when we have ironed out the issues with running the first
