40K SILVER MEMBERSHIP ARMIES

You must follow these guidelines when creating your 40K army to qualify for Silver Membership:

Painting and presentation

  • Every model must be painted to a reasonable gaming standard
  • All models (except tanks etc) should have a properly finished base (not just a painted base)
  • Club members who have Silver Membership already will judge army painting and presentation.
  • All models should be Games Workshop models or scratch built.
  • You don’t necessarily have to have painted every single model yourself, but you must have painted the majority of the models.

Army composition

  • The army must be worth 1500 points (or slightly less, but not 1 point more).
  • Your army must meet all the requirements for the standard force organisation chart
  • Your models must be WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get). This means that any wargear the model has must be represented on the model (there may be exceptions, for example grenades. Check if you are not sure).
  • No allied troops can be included
  • If a Codex has been produced for your army your list must be based upon it (and not on the rulebook army list).
  • Chapter approved items from White Dwarf are acceptable.
  • The army must include at least 45 models. You are advised to get your army list approved before doing lots of work on your army.

Army lists

  • You must produce a clear, printed (or neatly written) army list.
  • Your army list must include all the wargear, upgrades, chaos gifts, marks, veteran abilities and other items that make up the total cost, and show which model they apply to.
  • Any dependencies must be fully met (having to have one type of unit before being able to take another, etc).
  • You must produce a copy of your army list to leave permanently in the Club Army Book.

Game Knowledge

You must prove a basic knowledge of the game system. This will most likely involve fighting a battle with your Club Army against a silver member and his/her Club army

WHFB SILVER MEMBERSHIP ARMIES

You must follow these rules when creating your WHFB army to qualify for Silver Membership

Painting and presentation

  • Every model must be painted to a reasonable gaming standard
  • All bases should be at least painted and flocked. (This is the minimum standard)
  • Multipart models must be fully assembled

Army composition

  • You must be able to field an army of 2000 points that complies with the following rules
  • The limits on troop types must be met (i.e. Heroes, Troops, Special & Rare etc)
  • All models must be WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) This means any weapons and armour you give a unit must be shown on at least 50% of models in a unit. Conversely any unit where the majority of models have a piece of equipment must be given that equipment and the points paid for it.
  • No allied troops can be included
  • Any dependencies must be fully met. (i.e. in order to take a goblin doom diver you must first include a unit of goblins)
  • The army must include at least 45 models

Army lists

  • You must be able to produce a clear, printed (or neatly written) army list
  • Your army list must include all the models in your army and any magic items, equipment, virtues, chaos gifts, standards, musicians, etc, that you have given them.
  • You must produce a Silver standard army list to leave permanently at the club in the Club Army Book.

Game Knowledge

You must prove a basic knowledge of the game system. This will most likely involve fighting a battle with your Club Army against a silver member and his/her Club army
