I have tried to organise this a couple of times during the year & as soon as I get to the stage of giving people the dates of the matches a large group suddenly drop out.

So my plan is to run it no matter what, even if there are just a few teams!

There will be a 9 week window for the games to run in, with the Final 2 weeks later:

Week1: Game 1 - 5th October
Week2
Week3: Game 2 - 19th October
Week4
Week5: Game 3 - 2nd November
Week6
Week7
Week 8: Game 4 - 23rd November
Week9
Week10: Final between top two players 21st December

If you cannot play on the given week you have the following week to play, however, if you miss the 2 week window then both teams will get a Draw (0:0 score & 0:0 casualties).

October (2006) saw the revival of this premiere Gobstyk's BloodBowl event in the format of a 4 round Tournament with the top 2 teams playing a 5th game for the fabulous Gobstykup itself!

Update:

Here are the Tournament rules that will be used for Gobstykup 2006.

Update:

Here are the results from Round 1 & the games to be played in Round 2 either Oct 19th or 26th. Tim Hunter is currently out front with 37pts, while Chris Allsopp is the strongest player, holding everyone else up, with 5pts.

Update:

2 of the 5 Round 2 games have been played this week (Oct 19th). Featuring the top 4 players after Round 1, both games ended in a draw. A massive 14 casualties giving lots of extra points. Can any of the remaining 6 players pull off that elusive "big win" & leap up into one of the top four positions? Tune in next week sports fans!

Update:

Round 2 games have now been completed & 2 of the 5 Round 3 games too (Nov 2nd)! The top 2 players, Tim & Will clashed this week, resulting in a 1:1 Draw on both TD's & Casualties, giving the other players a chance to narrow the gap! Chris S did just that in the other game played this week, which saw him beat Philip 3:1 on TD's & 5:1 on Casualties. A massive 36pts jump up the table putting Chris S in 3rd place. Stay tuned for the other 3 match reports next week, Keep on Blockin'.

Update:

Round 3 is proving a bit slower to play than previously planned, but we have plenty of time before the Last Meeting of the year (21st Dec) so we can push Round 4 back a bit to the 23rd November. As you can see I have drawn up what I think will be the Round 4 matches given the current standings & avoiding people playing the same player twice.

The Gobstykup (yr5) will be presented during the Christmas meeting
