How to find Gobstyk's : approaching from the north on the A15 (from
Scunthorpe, Hull, Grimsby, Humber Bridge, Humberside Airport).
The journey from the A15 where it crosses the Lincoln bypass to the Club
hall is only a couple of miles. Here is a photo-guide to the route:
| As you approach Lincoln on the A15 you will come to a roundabout where the Lincoln
bypass crosses from left to right. |
Go straight across this roundabout, toward the
cathedral in the distance in front of you. |
 |
| Carry on straight ahead for about half a mile passing a
filling station on the left and Yarborough High School on the right. |
 |
| You will come to a roundabout that is usually planted with flowers. Turn right
at this roundabout onto Yarborough Crescent. |
 |
After a short drive of less than half a mile you will come to another roundabout.
There is a Shell garage on the left hand side. Turn left at this roundabout onto
Burton Road. |
| Travel down Burton Road until you come to a left bend with a
mini roundabout. Turn right at the mini-roundabout passing the Victoria pub on your
left and the Lawn visitor centre on your right. |
 |
| This road has speed bumps. Travel down this short road to the T-junction
at the bottom. |
 |
At the T-junction turn left and follow the road as it bends right
and goes quite steeply down Spring Hill. |
| The road bends right again and continues down hill. You will
come to a junction on the left with a shop on the corner. |
 |
| You can turn left here into St Martin's square where the club is (see next
picture) or you can go a little further and pull into the car park on the left, opposite
the Tap and Spile pub. |
 |
This is St Martin's square. The gaming hall is the large
yellow brick building on the left. The entrance we use is around the end of the building,
indicated by the arrow. |
| There is some parking just next to the Club, and more on Hungate (the
road you just turn off from). Parking is free after 6:00pm. |
